New Routes For Tyne Familiy Rides
November 28, 2024 | 28d | GENERAL
For 2025, we're taking our family cycling event further upstream on the River Tyne, exploring some more rural settings and a selection of the best riverside trails in NE England.
There will be two routes of 8 miles and 14 miles, both ideal for those who want a leisurely and fun cycling experience and perfect for occasional cyclists or those who want to ride with young families. You can choose which route to ride on the day - you entry covers you for both options.
The routes are recognised by Sustrans and are on the National Cycle Network. Expect to enjoy riding flat, easy cycling paths, with a couple of short sections on very quiet roads. The routes will be signposted and marshalled during the event.
The event HQ will be Newburn Activity Centre, which has lots of free parking and is really easy to access from the A1 and from the major towns and cities of NE England.
