Why We're Backing Prostate Cancer UK

We're proud of the fundraising efforts of riders who take part in the Cyclone Festival of Cycling. Over the years they have raised in excess of £5 million for a range of charities.

For the 2025 edition of the Cyclone Festival of Cycling we're recommending that riders who haven't already chosen a charity, or who don't usually raise money for charity (it's an entirely optional aspect of riding our events), make this the year they support Prostate Cancer UK

Sir Chris Hoy shared the news of his terminal prostate cancer diagnosis last year and Prostate Cancer UK is one of the charities chosen by Chris to benefit from the upcoming 'Tour de 4' charity bike ride which will begin and end at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow.

Cyclone Festival of Cycling organiser Peter Harrision said: "Like everyone in the cycling community, Prostate Cancer UK's cause is currently very close to my heart.  The Cyclone has always encouraged fundraising amongst participants and I'll be proud to use the Cyclone to help support the charity's excellent work."
