Why We're Supporting Prostate Cancer UK in 2026

We’re incredibly proud of the fundraising efforts of riders who take part in the Cyclone Festival of Cycling. Over the years, participants have raised more than £5 million for a wide range of charities.

For this year’s Cyclone Festival of Cycling, we’re encouraging riders who haven’t already chosen a charity, or who don’t usually fundraise (which is always entirely optional) to consider making this the year they support Prostate Cancer UK.

Sir Chris Hoy recently shared the news of his terminal prostate cancer diagnosis, and Prostate Cancer UK is one of the charities he chose to benefit from this year’s Tour de 4 charity bike ride, which began and ended at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow.

Cyclone Festival of Cycling organiser Peter Harrison said:

“Like everyone in the cycling community, Prostate Cancer UK’s cause is very close to my heart right now. The Cyclone has always encouraged fundraising among participants, and I’ll be proud to use the Cyclone to help support the charity’s outstanding work.”
